Jody Groebner, PTA

Jody has a B.S. degree in Marketing with a minor in Community Health. Her PTA experience includes working in Skilled Nursing Facilities, home care, and outpatient clinics, including pediatrics. Prior to becoming a PTA, Jody spent over 20 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, and taught a wide variety of group fitness classes including yoga.

Jody gets excited about helping people achieve their goals and live healthier lives through physical therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside as much as possible, enjoying hiking, biking, skiing, snow shoeing, and spending time on the lake paddle boarding or hanging out on the pontoon.

 

Q&A with Jody

Why did you become a physical therapist assistant?

I became a PTA because I felt it would be rewarding to help people improve their lives through physical activity.

What can patients expect when they see you in the clinic?

A warm and caring person who will take a sincere interest in your recovery and will work hard to help you achieve your goals.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?

Spend time with family and friends, travel, and in the summer spend as much time as possible at the lake.

What are your favorite ways of staying healthy?

Regular exercise, yoga, and spending time outdoors.

Where is your hometown?

Princeton, MN

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Even as an adult, I tried a variety of jobs before deciding to go to school to become a PTA.

What is your favorite thing about living in Minnesota?

Nothing better than summers at the lake in northern MN!
