Q&A with Stacy

Why did you become a PTA?

I love helping people, and this career allows me to do that in so many ways. It’s as simple as that.

What can patients expect when they see you in the clinic?

I like to think of myself as the person others can feel comfortable coming to me for *just about* anything. I take pride in being present with my clients and truly listening to their needs and goals. I like to have fun and joke around, but I am determined to do what it takes to help them maximize their function and reach their goals.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?

I’ll be enjoying the outdoors in some way, shape, or form with family and friends, but I’m usually in bed by 10!

What are your favorite ways of staying healthy?

Daily communication with friends, being outdoors, and the fact that I hate baking, so that limits sweets in our house (sorry family).

Where is your hometown?

La Crescent, MN

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I knew I always wanted to work directly with people, but nothing that would require me to be seated for prolonged periods of time. Something along the lines of medical, teaching, public relations, whichever direction life wanted to take me.

What is your favorite thing about living in Minnesota?

As much as I dislike being cold, I enjoy the season changes. More specifically: festivals and fairs in the summers, finding the local hot spot in a small town, unreal sunsets, and the craft beer scene has exploded!
