Lisa Martens, PT, DPT, OCS

Since joining Saunders in 2009, Lisa has established a solid following of repeat patients and physician referrals in our St. Paul office. She also serves as the Manager of our Orthopedic/Women’s Health Clinical Staff.

As an avid long distance runner and competitive cyclist, Lisa understands the specifics of sports related injuries and recognizes the importance of living an active, balanced lifestyle. She has been involved in establishing programs to promote health and wellness with the Minnesota Chapter of the APTA.

Lisa’s educational background includes a BA in psychology from Gustavus Adolphus and a DPT degree from St. Catherine University. Additionally, she is board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Kimber Crabtree, PTA

Kimber received her AAS degree for Physical Therapy Assistant at Anoka-Ramsay Technical College in 2005. She has been a member of our Maple Grove Industrial Rehabilitation team since 2008. She also assists our physical therapists with orthopedic treatments and exercise progression.

Prior to joining Saunders, Kimber was employed in a rehabilitation setting working with orthopedic and neuro therapies. She has developed health and wellness programs and has experience designing nutrition programs for children and adolescents in the education setting.

Kimber’s life experience gives her a practical perspective when working with Saunders’ clientele. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family.

Ron Wutchiett, PhD

Ron is a licensed psychologist with a background in clinical psychology including an internship at the University of Minnesota Hospitals. He currently has a broad-based private practice, which involves consultation, assessment, and treatment with psychiatric, medical, and occupational health and rehabilitation populations.

He has been consulting with Saunders Therapy Centers for over 20 years, providing group sessions for our work hardening clients and assisting our staff to address issues and work towards the best outcomes possible. Ron has a particular interest in identifying, managing and providing consultation regarding psychosocial barriers to recovery and return to work following work injury.

Sadie Swiderski, PT, DPT

Sadie obtained her doctor of physical therapy degree at the University of Minnesota. During her clinical experience, she received in-depth training in general orthopedics, manual therapy, and vestibular rehab. 

With a Bachelors’ degree in Kinesiology: Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an extensive background in dance performance and coaching, she is particularly interested in the treatment of sports-related injuries and is an experienced advocate of general health and wellness.

Post-graduate course work has included seminars in management of TMJ disorders and the lumbar spine. She is continually pursuing advanced education, and is passionate about learning.  

When not working or studying, Sadie enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her family, and is a member of the Twin Cities River Rats Waterski Show Team.

Marie W. Holecek, PT, MHS, ATC

Congratulations to Marie Holecek for Edina Sun Current readers’ “2015 Best Physical Therapist” award!

Marie joined Saunders Therapy Centers in 1992. She is a 1989 graduate of the Mayo Program, and was the first graduate of Saunders Therapy Centers’ mentorship program. She completed her Master of Health Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis in 2002.

Marie has a special interest in myofascial, craniosacral, visceral, and energy work, with a holistic approach to chronic pain. She believes in empowering her patients to take an active role in the healing process.

Marie has taken most of her training through John Barnes PT, the Upledger Institute, and the Barral Institute. She also has had extensive professional education in women’s/men’s health, and treats incontinence, pre/post natal, and pelvic pain.

Marie has been a guest lecturer on the lumbar spine for the College of St. Catherine’s physical therapy program and has assisted in teaching several manual therapy courses around the country. She also has her certification in athletic training. 

She loves to travel and is an avid baseball fan following the Twins and her beloved Chicago Cubs.

John Hovde, PT, MA

John joined Saunders Therapy Centers in 1991, and in 2018, he began his transition to retirement! Saunders Therapy Centers is very fortunate to have John continue to provide Functional Capacity Evaluation services and help cover staff vacations several weeks a year.

John has degrees in physical therapy, human nutrition, and pathokinesiology. He has extensive experience in orthopedics, with subspecialties in work hardening and functional capacity evaluations. He has a background in ergonomics and worked for five years at the Long Island Railroad medical department before joining our practice. Outside of work he is a passionate senior softball player who also enjoys summer sailing on water and winter sailing on ice.

Barbra Winninger, PT, DPT

Barbra is a graduate of the DPT program at University of Illinois at Chicago, and has been with Saunders Therapy Centers since 2017. In addition to being an dedicated physical therapist, she is a canoe paddler and flamenco dancer.

Barbra enjoys treating musculoskeletal injuries and helping her patients return to full, active lives. From neck pain to ankle pain, her dance training leads her to focus on strong form in all rehabilitative exercise. She is deeply passionate about educating patients on anatomy, helping them understand the nature of their injuries.

Barbra has been certified in vestibular and concussion rehab by the American Institute of Balance. She is especially interested in working with older patients, whether for balance training, post-operative care, or achieving fitness goals after injury.

Barbra is also a member of our Edina Industrial Rehabilitation team, helping to promote safe return to work following injury.
