Q&A with Steven

Why did you become a physical therapist?

As a physical therapist, my passion for helping others regain their strength and mobility led me to pursue this rewarding career. Witnessing the positive impact of rehabilitation on people’s lives inspired me to become a PT, and I’m committed to providing compassionate care to improve my patients’ well-being and quality of life.

What can patients expect when they see you in the clinic?

Patients can expect an energetic and compassionate therapist who is focused on delivering the best plan of care for everyone. Together, we’ll create a customized treatment plan that may include exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to help you recover. Throughout the process, I’ll be there to support, educate, and encourage you on your journey to recovery.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?

I am always busy doing active things outside. My wife and I love playing with our dog and exploring all the wonderful trails around the Twin Cities. During the summer you can catch me on any local golf course. And in the winter, I love all winter sports, and most recently started playing broomball, where most of my time is spent trying not to fall.

What are your favorite ways of staying healthy?

Spending quality time with others outside! I am an extrovert, so being around friends and family is my favorite way of staying healthy… along with a newfound enjoyment of trying different recipes in the kitchen.

Where is your hometown?

Kiowa Colorado. It is a rural town southeast of Denver about 1 hour. The current population is about 730, and my high school graduating class was one of the largest at 32.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a professional football player.

What is your favorite thing about living in Minnesota?

My favorite thing about living in Minnesota is the people who live here. There is such a wide variety of folks living here from all over, I enjoy getting to learn about different cultures right in my backyard.
